Visit of Prospective Minister

The Weekend of 6th, 7th and 8th January 2018
The Call Group, along with the Daventry Call Group met a prospective Minister in November and both groups agreed to invite the person to come and ‘Preach with a View’. This will take place on Sunday 7th January at 10:45 in Hinckley (they will also preach in the afternoon at Daventry). Please keep this day free as we want to encourage everybody involved with the church to come to the service.
There will be a special Church Meeting on Monday 8th January to decide whether we want to call the person to come and be our Minister and only those members who have heard the prospective minister preach on the Sunday will be able to vote. We will want as many people as possible to come to the Church Meeting and there will be offers of transport both to and from the meeting.
On the Saturday, the 6th January, there will be a joint social event at Daventry and as many people as possible are encouraged to go along and meet the candidate. If we have sufficient numbers a coach will be hired for this trip. More details will be provided nearer the time.
We thank God for the progress so far and pray for an outcome that is right for all concerned.
