Youth

There is a wide range of activities for children at the Hinckley URC.  Children are very important to us and we try to make them as welcome as possible. They are the church of today as well as the church of the future.  We hold an "All Age Service" on the first Sunday of every quarter in which the Uniformed Organisations also take part.  If you child is under school age, there are toys and a creche available every week.  (But do note that if you have children with you in the church service, please don't worry about them wandering about or making a little noise.)

Every week we run "Sunday Club" in the back hall from 10.30 til 12.00, and school age children up to around 11 or 12 are welcome to attend - click on the Sunday Club link for further information.

During the week there are groups that cater for different age ranges and who meet for various activities - - for further details on these please click on the links.

For additional Youth activities such as Holiday clubs - please check the special Events page of this web site which is under "What's On".

Hinckley URC has been given a "Child Friendly Church Award (CFCA).  This scheme has been developed to help churches give children the best possible experience of church, and acts as a tool to help churches evaluate their children’s and youth work.  It is a self assessment scheme which is designed to celebrate and support a Church’s journey to being Child Friendly.  CFCA Advisers work alongside the church and guide them towards the final award which is presented for a 3 year period.

All of our leaders and helpers have satisfied the CRB national disclosure test.
